Pamela Photography is gearing up for the 6th Annual Halloween Photo Studio! There are a couple of changes this year: The photo sessions will be by appointment only. See the following available times below to schedule your 20 min session. Booking will be on a first come first serve basis, and due to growing popularity of the Halloween Photo Studio I would advise everyone to book your session as soon as possible. The second change is that I will be using a grey backdrop on Sunday. If your child has a white costume, I would encourage you to book your appointment on Sunday. I will be using a white backdrop on Monday. All orders placed within the first week of the gallery posting will receive a complimentary 5x7 print! The studio is open to all children and families in costume. I look forward to seeing my regular kids and families and new families too!

Mike's Message

Every once in awhile we are exposed to something that changes our perspective on life. That is what Mike Robbin's book, Focus on the Good Stuff: The Power of Appreciation, did for me. I learned that focusing on the positive and appreciating the good things and people in your world can make a tremendous impact on your life - much more than I had originally thought. The simple exercise of making a list of things you are thankful for, or going out of your way to encourage someone, for example, can lead to opportunities you never dreamt were possible.
I first met Mike Robbins when I photographed him for his upcoming book, Be Yourself, Everyone Else is Already Taken: Transform your Life with the Power of Authenticity. Mike, a bay area native, is a well known key note speaker, personal development expert, and of course, best selling author. What struck me about Mike was that he is someone who practices what he preaches. Not only is he a positive and joyful person to be around, he delights in and cherishes his family. I am always encouraged when people speak highly of their family members and compliment them in front of others.
I highly recommend reading his first book, Focus on the Good Stuff: The Power of Appreciation. The book is compiled of personal stories, humor, and practical tips for becoming a more thankful and appreciative person. I loved it!!!
His second book, Be Yourself, Everyone Else is Already Taken: Transform Your Life with the Power of Authenticity, makes its debut on April 13th. He will be making several appearances throughout the bay area in the next week or so. If you would like to meet Mike in person, take a look at his events page to find an event closest to you. I will be attending the San Francisco book signing on April 15th. I hope to see you there!

Congratulations Mom - in - Chief!

Last summer I had the pleasure of meeting and photographing Jamie Woolf, a business consultant and mother of two, who has just come out with her first book entitled Mom – in – Chief. In her book, Jamie takes her knowledge and experience of what makes a great leader in the work place and applies it to being a parent. It’s brilliant idea! When I first met Jamie I liked her immediately. In addition to her many years of education and experience in her field (psychology), she has such a heartwarming personality! I really enjoyed photographing Jamie and her family. Through the laughter and silliness of the session I sensed a close connection between them. I was already interested in the subject of her book, but meeting her in person made me want to read it even more.
In Mom - in -Chief, Jamie brings together great leadership qualities in the work place and parenting wisdom with real life stories. Her book is a great resource for not only parents but those who work with children as well. For more information on Jamie and her book, you can visit www.mominchief.com.
Jamie and her two daughters were also recently featured on ABC news. Click on the following link to check out the story and short video clip: Being an effective 'mom - in - chief'.
